Visit Slow Cooking Thursday at Diary of a SAHM

1 roast, thawed (we get our roasts from Angel Food Ministries)

Several potatoes, cut into pieces

Several carrots

Green Beans and Corn

1 onion, sliced

1 cup water

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup flour

Place roast in crockpot.  Add peeled potatoes, carrots, beans, corn , sliced onion and butter.  Add water and flour for gravy.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Cook on low for 6-12 hrs, high for less than 6 hrs.

In our home we have a file in our cabinets which holds paper for recycling.  It is pretty thick now and I add to it daily.  My son uses it for printing school work and I use it for printing for myself , like scratch paper.

This file is part of what I am teaching my kids, to recycle by re-using.

Well finally our mortgage company called us today, pretty to the point.  We answered a few questions about our income and expenses.  They told us they would call in approx 3 weeks to give us our options.

So we wait another 3 weeks in the scope of things is not much time.

Days like today make my mind think and go round and round. I was out with the kids and hubby was at his second job. I have had many days like this when I am out on the weekend with the kids.

I start to think and try to find something I am not doing right. Ways that he can stop working that second job, because from our debt, he will be at it for the next 4 years. I just don’t see myself doing it all alone for that long, so I am trying to get yet more creative with our spending. On the prowl now on the net to see what I find.
