Never Ending To Do List

01/13/2011 by Sandra Leave a Comment

Yesterday I must have had a brain fart because I didn’t get to complete my never ending to do list.

I wasn’t sure if to catch up today or just leave it at that and get to it when it comes around again.

I decided to just chuck it and start fresh today.

If I don’t get moving I may have the same ending today.  On my list today is:

Clean microwave

Mop kitchen

Clean my dining room lamp (easy it is small and just a tad dusty)

Clean the bottom shelf of my fridge ( I can do this one it’s just one shelf)

Dishwasher load/run/put away

Take my medication

There are a few more but these are the main one for now.

What’s on your never ending list today?

Bringing Out The Flavor with TABASCO® Original Red

01/12/2011 by Sandra Leave a Comment

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

During the holiday we had family and friends over for some Meat and Potatoes with white rice. Wouldn’t be a complete meal without our favorite sauce TABASCO® Original Red

We all love it with bit of TABASCO® Original Red added, it has a special way of bringing out the awesome flavor of foods. Brings out the best taste in every bite yum.

The recipe for this tasty dish is:

Ingredients:

2 lbs. beef

1/2 cup oil

1 tbs salt

1 tbs paprika

1/2 tsp pepper

1 bay leaf

1 tsp TABASCO® Original Red

1 onion

3 cloves garlic

1nbsp; green pepper

1 can tomato sauce

1 cup dry sherry

1 cup water

2 lbs. potatoes

1 cup capers (optional)

Cut the meat into small cubes and brown lightly in hot oil. Add the salt, paprika, pepper, bay leaf, diced onion, crushed garlic and diced green pepper. When this begins to brown pour in the tomato sauce, wine, water and TABASCO® Original Red. When meat is half cooked, add diced potatoes and the capers. Allow to cook until meat and potatoes are tender. If necessary a little more water or wine may be added. Serves 6-8.

Our family loves to add a dash of TABASCO® Original Red to our pizza, which we make at home. We add pepperoni, our favorite cheese and our favorite Tabasco Original Red to bring out the flavor to the max.

sweep kitchen

clean kitchen sink

clear/wipe kitchen counters

wipe bathroom sinks

do one load of laundry

take medication

clean out my purse

vacuum bedrooms

Dinner Plans – Have to make something with all the extra veggies we have on hand.  I am not sure yet what I will come up with tonight.

Finacial Check Up

01/11/2011 by Sandra 2 Comments

Well, all the house guest from the holidays have left and now it’s time to access our financial health so far this year.  I have been using Mvelopes to help us keep track of our expenses.  So far I am very thrilled with it.

I have update my Emergency Savings so far in my sidebar, it’s up to $3,000.00.  We have added 1,000.00 since getting out of debt in February of 2010.  We have stayed that way and made it through Christmas without getting into debt.  This New Year is definitely much better than last, when we were at the end of paying off our debt.  I feel confident that if we continue to use our spending plan that our financial situation will continue to improve.

As a family we have to continue to lower our food expense and make smart choices with our money.  I will do another update next month, so that I can gauge how we do in 2011.
