Pretty Note Card Received

03/23/2011 by Sandra Leave a Comment

Swap receive from PostMuse for a private swap

Here is a very nice card received from postmuse on swap-bot.com.  She wrote a nice note on the card on the right, I loved it and her handwriting is so neat.  She uses special pens that are awesome.  The card on left is a blank one she included in her envelope for me to use and send to someone else.  I am sure it will find a recipient soon.

Fun Making A Bat Mask My First Sewing Project

03/23/2011 by Sandra Leave a Comment

I saw this mask tutorial here and I wanted so bad to be a person who can sew, and I thought I would try it.  It looked easy and I think my sewing machine can handle it. (maybe)  Well I did it yay for me hehe here is how mine turned out, what do you think?  Please don’t be too hard on me it was my first try at sewing :-0

Bat Mask Unfinished

Here is my sewing trial, not great huh, so I decided to not put new thread on the bobbin to make the lines red.  I thought if I took it out I wouldn’t know how to put it back in sigh.  I improvised and sewed with the white thread and then took fabric paint in red and went over the line.

Bat Mask

Here is the mask with the line pained in, I think it came out pretty neat.

My Itsy Bitsy Sewing Machine

Here is my little itty bitty machine.  I can hear the crowd giggling now lol, Okay but it works really, it does pretty well.  I hope one day to upgrade to a true machine if my skills improve.  I think then I can convince my husband to buy me a real machine (sigh)

Books I Am Loving

03/22/2011 by Sandra Leave a Comment

There are a few books I am currently reading that so far I just adore. They were suggested by the speaker at our monthly homeschool group meeting.

awsome book my kid loves it

This book is a great read for an older child, mine is almost 8 and like it very much, it teaches kids how to be kind and considerate in an awesome way by filling invisible buckets that we all carry around with good thoughts and feelings.

little book for my lil one

This little version is great for my 3 1/2 yr old he just love for me to read it to him.  These just came in the mail the other day and I am so glad I ordered them.

more fill the bucket book cute

Have you filled a bucket today?

I think once we are done with them we will gift them forward to someone else who might enj0y them.  I am sure I will be posting about these little books again 🙂

Great way to start your day poached eggs, grits and sausage and cheese, my kids love it.  See my primitive attempt at using picnik.com above with my picture.  I like it but I can do better with those pics I know hehe.
