Worst Teacher I Ever Had

Describe the worst teacher you ever had.

The worst teacher I ever had was a math teacher in high school named Mr. Cheng. He was so mean to me, he would pick and make fun of me when I didn’t know the answer to questions in class. I dreaded going to this man’s class day in and day out.  Plus he was not a very good teacher, I had a hard time understanding his lessons.
The worst part is I had him for two years straight for math class.   As a young student in junior high I guess I should have told my mom and ask for help. I didn’t ask for help from my mom, I just did my best and got through it.
Wonder if this experience is partly to blame for me not doing well in math as I progress through school. I had to work hard on my own and get tutors all through high school and college.  I struggled quite a bit with math all my life.
Who was your worst teacher you ever had?

I asked my husband what his worst teach ever was and he said his was Mrs. Louis, she was his teacher in 11th grade and taught him chemistry.  He did get his parents to help him and he got changed classes.

A few great homeschooling learning fun site I found during my reading time.

1.Bill Buster – File Folder Game

A cute file folder game to help your young one learn how to count money.  Other great games and learning material too, check them out.

2. K4 Beginning Sounds Worksheets from Confessions of a Homeschooler

These are some really nice worksheets to teach sound to you lil ones.  I am going to use it for my preschooler and I think he will like the graphics too as they are bright and of things he is familiar with.

3.  Preschool and Kindergarten Free Printables from Creative Learning Fun

Hop on over and check out these cute printables, my lil guy loved it, I think I will use it again.  He doesn’t get bored of the same thing.  He watches movies over and over so I tried it with worksheets and it works he is just as enthusiastic the first time as the second or third.

I was having a bit of trouble with my 4 yr old and reading till…
just recently.  We sat down this morning and read for a while in our hooked on phonics workbook.  Not a long while about 15 minutes is all the attention span I get, and I will take what I can get at this point.  Then we played a few math games, which my 4 yr old won both games we played.  He was very excited to beat mom :-).  We spent approx 30 minutes at our table.

We then went to the computer and visited  Learn to Read.  We spent approx 30 minutes here and my son just loves it. We then went to Let’s Make A Calendar and spent an additional 15 minutes or so here. We both had a great time.

This is a very nice resource for learning to read that we will use often.
