Laundry Scents

I do our laundry without any scent, just the scent of clean clothes.  This past weekend while I was on vacation my husband visited his parents and got a whiff of clothes with the scent of Downy.  He came home just a talking on and on about the scent, how nice it smelled etc.

Makes me think he wants scented laundry now when he was perfectly happy before or so I thought.  I like the scent of laundry that just smells clean, but now I am debating if to add at least a little bit of scent to our loads. I am doing laundry today and don’t have any at hand, which is a bummer.  I am considering purchasing some on my next visit to the store. (side note I could think of other items to purchase with this money.  just my personal opinion thought)

Any suggestions or your comments would help me with this, so look forward to what visitors to this blog have to say.

Thanks this really is bothering me now. Sigh

I’ve pondered that question before also. I prefer getting non-scented allergy free type laundry soaps, but I agree the other stuff smells so good.

I have put a few really pretty smelling dryer sheets around the house in cabinets, drawers, closets and such. That way I still get a whiff of the smell every once in while but not the itchy skin from using them in the laundry.

btw: Happy Friday! I’m a new “Friendship Friday” follower.

i dont do the fabric softner. it actually puts a layer of wax on your clothes. never use it or dryer sheets on toweld or anything you want to absorb water. If you want a nice scent add a few drops of lavender essential oil to a washcloth and toss it in the dryer with your clothes. It gives the slightest hint of scent. if you air dry…..good luck outside scent tends to takr over…..at least for me it does. 🙂
