I found out this last Saturday, that someone decided to open up a Direct TV account using my name and SS# last November 2008.
I have all the details and now am working on taking my identity back and preventing it from happening to me again. I am waiting two weeks now for Direct TV to do their investigation and send me a letter. They said to wait two weeks, let’s see if it does take two week or longer.
In the meantime I am watching my credit like a hawk, till I can feel comfortable again. This is to me the equivalent of someone coming into my home and making themselves at home. Eating my food and wearing my clothes etc. Sigh

Ugh! Yep that has happened to us a few times in the past 2 years…..credit card fraud, unauthorized additions to our phone bill, etc. Stupid, lazy people annoy me!
