I really need to do these update more often for our sake.  Keeps me accountable to actually see it in writing, and also motivates me like nothing else can.

I have been using Mvelopes now for several months and I have not regretted for one minute signing up for it.  Though I really need to use it more diligently in order to help me keep our food budget down.  This is really for us one of the envelopes that is hard to keep down.

Our emergency fund is now at $3388.00 which is only 88.00 more than in January, hmmm I need to tweek something here.  Need to make sure I am updating this more often.  This needs to be improving on a regular basis and it is not improving  right at this moment.

Here is a resource I used before I tried Mvelopes that worked for me that were FREE.

Excel Monthly Cash Flow Budget Sheet From It’s Your Money – I used this sheet for a long time and still have it, since I never know when I am going to want to go back to doing it without  Mvelopes.  It is a great resource to use so check it out and let me know what you think in the comments.

In the mean time I will behave and update finances regularly, when tell your money what to do there is less chance someone else will tell it what to do for you.

Have a great Monday!

A few great homeschooling learning fun site I found during my reading time.

A cute file folder game to help your young one learn how to count money.  Other great games and learning material too, check them out.

2. K4 Beginning Sounds Worksheets from Confessions of a Homeschooler

These are some really nice worksheets to teach sound to you lil ones.  I am going to use it for my preschooler and I think he will like the graphics too as they are bright and of things he is familiar with.

3.  Preschool and Kindergarten Free Printables from Creative Learning Fun

Hop on over and check out these cute printables, my lil guy loved it, I think I will use it again.  He doesn’t get bored of the same thing.  He watches movies over and over so I tried it with worksheets and it works he is just as enthusiastic the first time as the second or third.

Free To Stick It To Us, Legal Highway Robbery

05/23/2009 by Sandra Leave a Comment

When the creditors that we were trying to pay off, first hit us with our first rate increase it hit me like a brick.  When all the others did the same, I was like ok this is the game now that my creditors are playing.

I have not used a credit card in over a year, our family has decided to take the opt out option in these instance.  They will continue to stick it to us all till July 2010  till it become illegal for them to do that.

If our interst is what the government had in mind they should have made it law right away.  The creditors have all this time to raise there profits on us.  When this law comes into effect all the slaughter will be over and they will come up on top with bigger profits.

Driving myself nuts

05/19/2009 by Sandra Leave a Comment

I was driving myself nuts with our debt.  It is a constant thing I think about, which in turn has made me become almost a complete hermit.  I have done some thinking these last few days and I need to stop obsessing like I have or I am going to make myself sick.

I think it has already affected me to the point that when I think about our debt it make it hard to breathe.  So today I am praying for strength from God to please give me something else to fill my thoughts.  I need to have a life even if it is a simple life like I have now but I need peace.

After all my thoughts were it isn’t going to go away anytime soon.  I might as well enjoy my life in the process.  What made me realize this was of  course my bodies reaction and a show I saw on TV the other day, I think it was Dr. Phil.  Were there were a few couple who are almost paralyzed by thougths of their debt, to the point where they don’t get out of bed.   I don’t want to be like that I want to live life content and at peace that I am doing all I can.
