My Kitchen Has Been Tackled

12/10/2010 by Sandra 1 Comment

It feels good to have won the kitchen battle today.  Here is a pic of my kitchen area all spic and span clean.  Won’t last forever cause those darn dishes multiply like damn bunnies I tell you.

This is not a battle I win everyday, more than not the kitchen wins.

The other mission I had today was our laundry, oh dear it is a mile high almost.   I won’t put pics of the before it is pretty embarrassing really.

Early Early Morning Grumpies

Well my husband had to be at the doctors at 5:15 a.m for his surgery.  Those pesky kidney stones were threatning to cause him pain again last night so we were glad the surgery was scheduled.  We set our alarm clocks for 3:45 a.m., thinking about how long it would take us to get ready and get there.  Oh boy!

We watched some television for a bit and I drank some red wine and got sleepy quick.  My mother in law who was staying over to watch the kids joined me by having a glass too.  My husband just drank water since he was instructed not to drink anything else, poor fella.  Well we all finally got sleepy about 10:00 p.m.  and went to bed.  Notice I said to bed and not to sleep, because my eyes would not close for goodness sake.  I tried my sleepy time app on my iphone to try to relax and nothing, I was wide awake.  I finally got to sleep and my husband, bless his soul scared the living day lights out of me with a big snore.  He hasn’t snored like he did last night in a long while.I

Well 3:45 am came very fast and we snoozed till 4:15 a.m.  I wish I could have taken a rock to the alarm but that wouldn’t have had a good ending, darn.   The worse of it was I couldn’t eat since my hubby couldn’t.  I didn’t want to make him feel bad since he couldn’t drink or eat anything.  I drove and got us there like 5 minutes late, which wasn’t too bad considering we got up late.

After we got there all went pretty fast and a big blur.   I read my google reader while waiting and drank horrible tasting coffee yuk.  About 11 a.m I was called to the recovery room and had a happy but spacey husband who was glad the stone was gone.  Now it’s 4:30 pm and I am tired, spleepy, and on my way to a 30 minute nap at least or this mommy is going to get very grumpy.

All We are Saying... (Thought for a New Year)

My husband is going in to have a kidney stone removed tomorrow.  We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m.  and I am not going to be a happy camper.  When I get up that early I am usually a royal grouch sigh.

My dear mother in law is coming over to sleep so she can stay and watch the kids for us.  I am in the process of washing bedsheets and pillow cases so that they are fresh.  Ah also the kids bathroom needs to be freshened up a bit, it is after all a kids bathroom. We are making dinner for her tonight as a thank you for coming over.  She lives about 1 hr away and even though she is retired I am sure she could think of other things she would rather be doing.

On top of it all I have the holidays on my mind because I didn’t get started when I wanted to this year in my preparations.  It is driving me batty to not have things the way I want them sigh. (whine)
