Yummi Recipe Strambolies Or Some Sort of Something

02/16/2011 by Sandra 2 Comments

Well this was fun to make, we really were just going by instinct.  My husband saw this on the television and wanted to try it.  See what you think, they were actually quite tasty.

There is dear hubby playing with the dough, he loves that!

Finally found the rolling pin hiding in the drawer, after taking out every pan we own from the cabinet.

Yea then I had to put them away darn

We roasted chicken, which we used a timer for really we did.  The timer went off and I turned it off, but

forgot to turn the oven off duh.  Oh well crispy chicken we got out of it.

Feta cheese we love this cheese, can’t make almost anything without it.  Hmmm where is my darn

spinach pic, I know we also put that into this meal.

Good dose of sauce, yum.

This is what it looked like after we rolled it, turned out to be a fat one.

My husband was in such a hurry to each eat (was in such a hurry I put my finger in the wrong key) dinner I didn’t get a picture of it after baking.  That lil poop, I was a bit annoyed at him for being too quick for once.  Usually not a problem with him as he does almost everything slow.

Oh well they were very good we all loved them and requested he make them again whenever he feels the urge.

Yummi Recipe Ham Steak

This grocery store looks pretty bare reminded me of how empty ours is

Ham Steak

What you need:  Ham steak, 2 rings canned pineapple, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbs. mustard, 1/8 tsp. ground clove

What you need to do:  Mix the sugar, mustard and clove and cover both sides of the ham.  Place under broiler or in a hot skillet for approx. 10 mins. or until sugar melts.  Use some of this melted sugar to brown pineapple at the last moment.

I was wanting to make this for my family this week, yet the snow storm had other plans.  Now again our streets are difficult to drive and our local grocery store is running low on quite a few items.  Also this morning I fell on the ice and sprained my knee, which I had injured years ago.  I have a torn ACL ligament, which I have not had surgery done on.   Nevertheless this recipe will have to wait a bit longer to reach our lips.

Taco Soup For Dinner Yum

12/15/2009 by Sandra Leave a Comment

Tonight we are having Taco Soup for dinner.  We seem to be having quite a few Mexican dishes on our menu lately, we love our spicy and season.

Taco Soup

1 lb ground beef, 1 onion chopped, 1 1/2 c water, 15 1/4 oz can corn, 3 (15 1/2 cans Mexican Chili Beans, 15 oz can tomato sauce, 14 1/2 can diced tomatoes, 4 1/2 can chopped green chilles, 1 tbsp taco seasoning

Garnish: shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoe, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream

serves 6 – 8

Place ground beef and onion in a pot over medium heat.  Cook until beef is browned and onion is tender.  Stir. Drain and stir in remaining ingredients except garnish, bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Spoon into bowls, top with desired toppings.
