I was having a bit of trouble with my 4 yr old and reading till…
just recently.  We sat down this morning and read for a while in our hooked on phonics workbook.  Not a long while about 15 minutes is all the attention span I get, and I will take what I can get at this point.  Then we played a few math games, which my 4 yr old won both games we played.  He was very excited to beat mom :-).  We spent approx 30 minutes at our table.

We then went to the computer and visited  Learn to Read.  We spent approx 30 minutes here and my son just loves it. We then went to Let’s Make A Calendar and spent an additional 15 minutes or so here. We both had a great time.

This is a very nice resource for learning to read that we will use often.

Baby’s Food Allergies

03/26/2008 by Sandra 1 Comment

Today the baby had a doctor’s appt early at 10am.  It’s been an odd morning.  The baby is healthy except he has a bit of delay in some of his gross motor skills.  We are going to have a therapist come to our home and work with him to improve the skills he is falling behind on.

It is always hard for a mom to hear that her baby is lacking or behind in anything.   Doctor seem to think he will catch up in due time.  I pray he is right.

The baby also had an allergic reaction to walnuts the other day so he had to have blood drawn today.  They did this in order to check for any other food allergies he might have.  It was horrible having to watch the nurse draw blood from my little guys arm.  I am was very glad when it was over.

We are finally home again, I am mentally tired at the moment.  It’s time to get lunch ready and feed my boys.
